To kick things off on Monday September 9th please join us at our Mentorship Session and Welcome Reception. The Welcome Reception will be in the Resort Building at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino & Resort from 4-8pm. Come enjoy seeing old friends, making new ones, have a drink and hors d’oeuvres as we kick off the 2024 conference.
If you are newer (3yrs or less) to the Emergency Management profession, please join us at our WSEMA Mentoring Session on Monday evening from 5-6pm in the Billy Frank Jr Hall in the same building. The Mentorship Session will be a casual meet & greet between potential mentors and mentees. It is aimed at fostering guidance and support in a relaxed environment. The conversation will consist of how some of our potential mentors started their career in Emergency Management, examples of the different disciplines within the Emergency Management career field, professional development opportunities, importance of networking, as well as hearing from individuals new to the EM field about their goals, aspirations, and questions.
