Hi All,
To better align our membership term and conference calendar, the WSEMA Board is changing the membership year from Jan 1-Dec 31 to Oct 1-Sep 30. This will allow us to capitalize on the momentum coming out of conference to capture new members, better align with our elections and simplify our administrative timelines. To accomplish this change in process, we are doing the following:
For members who paid full dues before Sep 10, 2024 for the 2024 calendar year, you will pay a prorated amount for 2025 to account for the last 3 months of 2024. For example, active members will only pay $60 instead of $80, retirees will only pay $45 instead of $60 and students will only pay $30 instead of $40.
For any new members who join now or joined after Sep 10, 2024, they pay the regular rate of $80 and have membership through Sep 30, 2025.
This change in membership dues would just be for this year, which would be the switchover year. People who are already members and paid before September 10, 2024 paid for the entire year of 2024. Since we’re going to switch to an October 1 date, it is only fair to prorate the fourth quarter 2024. That’ll put everybody on an even footing paying the same amount for the same number of months. As of October 1, 2025, dues go back to the full price of $80 for Active, $60 for Retiree, and $40 for Student.
