With a growing membership, we wanted to highlight why members not only join WSEMA when they are new, but why they stay members? With that, we are excited to kick off “Why WSEMA Wednesday’s”, a weekly series to remind us why we do the work we do and the impact associations like ours can have on the community!
First up, long-time member, previous executive board member, and strategic planning committee member, Annie Merritt, MSOD, C.Ed.!
“As we celebrate reaching over 200 members at WSEMA, I am reminded of what this organization truly means to me. It’s not just about the numbers; it’s about the community we have built together. WSEMA represents a shared vision of collaboration and resilience, bringing together individuals who are passionate about emergency management. This community is my emergency management family, where every member’s contribution is valued, and our collective efforts create a stronger, safer environment for all.
WSEMA is collaboration, dedication, and relationships- WSEMA has my back! We work together, share knowledge, and uplift one another. I am proud to be part of this awesome family! Next stop, 250 members! (Bring on the confetti and party hats!)”
